Find a 5.3L using the same operating system and swap the engine segments. I did that when my buddy put a 6.0L in his truck. It already had an 0411 I had tuned. I swapped the tune from a 5.7L/4L60E to a 6.0L/4L80E. Personally I would go bigger than a 5.3L in truck but that is me.

Questions About VIN Swapping. Okay.. Let's see if I can explain this in the quickest way possible. Started with a 411 PCM from a 2000 truck. I licensed the PCM and began tuning. Everything is good with the tune/truck/programming until I swapped in electric fans. The 0411 PCM swap is very doable. It is a very easy swap. Hog has given you some great info. The marine intake as also a popular upgrade. It allows you to use NORMAL style external injectors. Oct 22, 2009 · I'm looking into doing the 0411 swap. I have a 99 tahoe 4X4 and have been reading for sometime that the swap is well worth the price and well worth the benefits. My big question is; everyone says the have been getting their info/pcm for doing the swap from "Lextech."
The 24x conversion was pretty easy, I just used the basic kit from EFI Connection and bought a full set of truck LS coils and brackets from the local Pick and Pull for about $50. Since I was doing the cam swap, 0411 conversion and swapping into a 94 pick up all at the same time, it just made sense to do 24x at the same time.
